Hey fight fans, happy Saturday! A lot has transpired in the fight game over the last few days. Although it is an off week for The UFC, Bellator had a solid show last night and Invicta FC 23 is tonight. So lets get right down to business and discuss what is going on in MMA Today.

Bellator 179

Rory MacDonald put on a clinic last night against Paul Daley, in the Bellator 179 main event. The fight took place in London England, giving Daley the home court, but that didn't matter much. Rory battered his opponent in the first round, before finishing it in the second with a rear naked choke. Daley seemed to have no answer for the Canadian star's output.

With this win, it seems that MacDonald is now the number one contender for The Bellator welterweight title. He will now sit back and wait to see who is victorious next month at MSG as Lorenz Larkin challenges Douglas Lima for the title at MSG. Larkin and MacDonald both recently signed with Bellator after leaving The UFC.

After the fight, Paul Daley challenged Michael Venom Page to a future fight. He had some some colorful names for Page and following his call out, Daley went to the crowd to try and fight his fellow Englishman. Chaos ensued, check it all out below.

Elsewhere on the main card, “Baby Slice” Kevin Ferguson Jr. made quick work of DJ Griffin ending the fight early with a first round TKO. This was an impressive performance, resembling some of his father, Kimbo Slice's quick wins. Alex Lohore finished Dan Edwards by TKO and Cheick Kongo defeated Augusto Sakai by split decision. In a shocking finish to the co-main event, Linton Vassell submitted Liam McGeary. All in all it was a very solid event, by the number two MMA company in the world.
