Cristiane ‘Cyborg' Justino is set to return to the UFC, following her first round destruction of Leslie Smith at UFC 198. This time the Invicta Featherweight Champion will headline the card, that sees a slew of her Brazilian counterparts compete on yet another stacked card in Brazil.
According to a report on MMA Fighting, Cyborg will go toe to toe with Lina Lansberg in the Main Event of the Brasilia card. Lansberg makes her UFC debut against Cyborg and is riding a six fight win streak coming into the bout. The ‘Elbow Princess' will have her work cut out for her in arguably the toughest fight imaginable to debut in the UFC but few fighters have made the Main Event slot on their promotional debut.
Although the fight is scheduled to be a Catchweight bout at 140lbs, Lansberg is a Featherweight fighter, which maybe suggests that the UFC is warming to the idea of a Featherweight division, which would be music to Cyborg's ears. Cyborg struggled to make the 140lb limit for her UFC 198 debut and looked gaunt and sickly on the scales.
In the co-Main Event Roy Nelson takes on Antonio ‘Bigfoot' Silva in a Heavyweight showdown sure to provide excitement as both fighters badly need a win. Nelson has managed just two wins in his last eight, while Silva has one win in his last seven. Both fighters possess one punch KO power and will be looking for that early stoppage.
Also featured on the card is the former Bantamweight Champion Renan Barao, as he takes on Phillipe Nover.
